The Elephant in Your Classroom
The elephant of misconceptions is never absent from school. Help identify and process through the misconceptions in your classroom. We'll focus on the big question of, "What is living and non-living?" We will use Page Keeley probes, Quality Questioning strategies (such as affinity mapping), as well strategies to support all learners, ESL and SPED included. Find out how pre-assessments can help drive instruction and reflection to eradicate the elephant.

Observe to Conserve
Learn about the power of observing and documenting nature. Practice hands-on activities that will help your students understand and appreciate a connection with nature at your school and at the Dallas Zoo. We will show how to use nature journaling, citizen science, and The Nature Exchange to heighten your Zoo visit.
