This session will discuss blended learning in the science classroom with the use of iPads, Apps, iTunes U, laptops, learning labs and general technology BYOD. Most examples will be life science, specifically Biology and Anatomy. However, blended learning can be used in any content.

Classroom Website Using Google
During this hands-on workshop teachers will set up a website for their classroom using Google Sites as the method of creation. We will focus will be on how to create and edit pages, attach and link documents and images, as well as maintain announcements and utilize other features. The result will be a fully functional and published website your students can access for classroom resources such as notes, homework, and video tutorials, etc.. If your district does not provide an alternate web-based method for communicating to students and parents, then this is a great place to start.

Augmented Reality APPS and alignment to the TEKS
Want to explore in a system in which the user cannot tell the difference between the real world and the virtual augmentation of it? Bring your iPad or iPhone to learn how to use several AR (Augmented Reality) APPS in your classroom and how they are aligned to the standards. Teachers will be given packet of "Markers" or "Trigger Images" to use with the each of the AR APPS so they may explore the 3-D world during the presentation.

Please feel free to attend without your device, but it will be a lot more fun with it!
