B.S. in Education
Currently the K-12 STEM Curriculum Designer for Prosper ISD, but has taught 5-8th grade science. Obtained a bachelor degree from the University of Texas At Arlington in Middle level Education and is currently perusing a master’s degree from the University of Texas At Arlington in curriculum and instruction in science education. Certifications from the State of Texas in math, science, ESL and generalist for the 4-8th grade levels. Has worked with the University of Texas at Dallas as a Uteach mentor for new science and math teachers. Has sat on the STAAR item review committee for 5th grade science. Presentations include staff developments over whole brain teaching, Constructed response, differentiation in the classroom and Vernier lab quest. Presented at 2015 CAST Teaching the TEKS and Evolution of the TEKS, The 2014 National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) national conference on science education in Boston over “Closing the Achievement Gap with Constructed Response” and featured speaker for The University of Texas at Arlington for the middle level education department.
