B.S. in Education
Currently a 5th grade science teacher at Roger Middle School in Prosper ISD with a bachelor degree from the University of Texas At Arlington in Education. Currently perusing a master’s degree from the University of Texas At Arlington in curriculum and instruction in science education. Certifications from the State of Texas in math, science, ESL and generalist for the 4-8th grade levels. Has worked with the University of Texas at Dallas as a Uteach mentor for new science and math teachers. Presentations include staff developments over whole brain teaching, Constructed response, differentiation in the classroom and Vernier lab quest. Presented at the 2014 National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) national conference on science education in Boston over “Closing the Achievement Gap with Constructed Response” and featured speaker for The University of Texas at Arlington for the middle level education department. Currently doing field research in how using constructed response assessments can be designed and implemented in the science classroom to advance student achievement in science.
